My Story
JD Elliott
After dedicating 17 years of my life to baseball, my journey with the sport I love came to an end following my freshman year of college. It was then that I sought out a new passion, which unexpectedly turned out to be photography. In 2022, I attended my first baseball game with my camera, simply for the joy of it. I quickly realized that while I may no longer be on the field, photography allowed me to remain closely connected to the sport I love. Encouraged by this discovery, I began exploring other sports like football, softball, and hockey through my lens.
Growing up next to an airport, I developed a peculiar fascination with airplanes. Every few years, my local airport hosted "The Great Tennessee Airshow," and begged my parents to take me to witness the crazy practices of the "Blue Angels" or the "Thunderbirds" in the week leading up to the show. In the summer of 2023, I brought my camera along to the airshow, and from that moment onward, I was captivated. Photography became a means of immersing myself in the world of aviation, and I have been hooked ever since.
I am currently a senior at Middle Tennessee State University, pursuing a degree in Aerospace with a specialized focus on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This exciting field not only ignites my passion for aviation but also opens up unique opportunities to integrate cutting-edge technology into my photography and videography endeavors.
